What does this mean to you? It means you no longer need to watch your EGTs or worry about downshifting as this feature does it for you, effectively lowering EGTs and bringing back power! 

    Our tow tunes are designed to easily manage EGT's and trans holding capacity under load.  Expect EGT's near-stock, with slower soot accumulation than stock.  Use the strongest tune you feel comfortable with for the best mileage while towing. 

    Sport Econ and Race tune are strong tunes designed for unloaded driving.  They offer the driver the sensation of driving a much lighter vehicle while improving mileage, throttle response, and of course peak power over the GM stock offering.  These are without question, the best LML tunes on the market. They offer better throttle response, high peak power, lower soot accumulation, and better shift quality than the competition.  If you want a strong, clean truck then this is your last stop!


    Frequently asked questions: 

    1. How often does the truck go into regen?

    Our experience has been that there are 2 common triggers for regen. The truck will initiate regen once it reaches 44 grams of soot in the trap or travels ~700 miles since the end of the last regen. Whichever of these events occurs first will start a regen. The regen seems to last until the soot load goes below ~10 grams or so and the driving conditions no long promote regen.

    2. How long does it take to regen?

    Our test trucks average about 1 mile per gram of soot. So if the DPF is at 44 grams, and regens down to 5, it generally takes about 40 miles. Of course, it'll take longer if the cycle is interrupted.

    3. How quickly does soot accumulate? 

    It depends on usage. On the highway, it may be 1 gram every 25-30 miles. Mixed driving might be closer to 20 miles, and of course on the dyno things move a little faster. The weird thing is that the counter jumps quickly between 1-10 grams (maybe one gram per mile), counts slower from 10-19 grams (10 miles/gram), and then seems to count from 20-up much slower (20-30 miles/gram)

    4. How much extra fuel does regen take?

    My best guess comes from the mileage adjustment I see under steady-state operation. For instance. My trip this weekend averaged 19.7 MPG mixed over 700 miles. The truck entered regen at 700 and regen-ed for 40 miles. At the end of regen the DIC showed 19.2 MPG. If I'd done the 740-mile trip without regen at 19.7 MPG I would have used 37.56 gallons. At 19.2 MPG, I used 38.54 gallons - a difference of about a gallon or 2.6% more fuel.

    5. Does tuning affect regen frequency?

    Of course, it does. The tune needs to be clean for the regen frequency to be kept in check. Our tunes are as clean or cleaner than stock. This 515HP tune has managed 700 miles between regens during road tests. Even driving the truck aggressively seems to have very little effect on the soot counter. The early tunes I tested on dyno seemed to load the soot trap very quickly on the higher HP settings (Superchips/HS/Hypertech). If driven reasonably, the intervals weren't noticeably longer - but if hot-rodded you could expect the soot counter to move quickly.

    6. What kind of mileage can I expect?  

    Mixed driving can mean many different things to different people.  With that said, a single-wheel truck can generally manage 16-18 MPG mixed-on-stock tires with a reasonable driver.  On the highway, MPG numbers as high as 23 MPG can be achieved at cruising speeds near 60MPH.  As speed increases past 70 MPH, mileage closer to 20/21 is the norm.  Colder temps will hurt mileage, especially if the truck is short-tripped. 

    - Emissions deletes are NOT supported.

    2013 - 2021 6.7L Cummins

    The 2013 – 2021 Cummins, 6.7L diesel engine is one of the most powerful power plants available in a ¾ or 1-ton pickup truck today. Ram updated their interior, exterior, ride quality, and developed a more reliable emissions system for these trucks and it paid off!

    As much as we love these trucks from the factory, we make them better! Our custom tuning gives you more power without sacrificing driveability or reliability.  Our tunes are designed for the “Everyday Diesel Guy”! You need to depend on your truck when you're towing, commuting with the family or even that once and a while when you need to do a sick burnout.

    There's no reason to pull your exhaust off of your truck to get the power, mileage, and torque benefits of tuning.  Calibrated Power, home of specializes in engineering high power calibrations that work in harmony with the factory emissions control systems.  Our calibrations process is time and labor-intensive, but the results are worth it if you're using your truck daily and appreciate clean quiet operation.

    68RFE vs AISIN vs G56

    Your 2013-2021 most likely came with a 68RFE or Aisin Automatic Transmission. A G56 manual transmission was offered up to 2018 but it is not nearly as common.  Each transmission offers its own benefits and flaws. Our engine tuning will work with all 3 options.  


    By far, this is the most common transmission found in these trucks. That is why there is a larger range of aftermarket products offered for them. Our EZ Lynk Support Pack includes Switch-on-the-fly engine tuning and custom transmission tuning for the 68RFE. We also can provide you with Upgraded valve bodies, torque converters, and even a full transmission build.  


    The Aisin transmission is most often (but not always) found in the 2013-2021 HD Cummins Cab & Chassis pick-up truck models. It was an available option for standard pick-ups as well but, came with a price tag.  Your Aisin equipped Cummins will run better than it ever has before with our EZ Lynk Support Pack. The 2013-2018 Aisin Equipped Switch-on-the-fly engine tuning for your truck is specifically designed to maximize the full potential while maintaining the reliability of your truck. The 2019-2021 Aisin equipped trucks will get those same custom-designed tunes in Single Tune Files. 


    The G56 Manual transmission was offered through the 2018 model year. The factory clutch can handle a reasonable amount of added torque with an adult driver at the wheel. For these trucks, you get all 4 Custom Engine Tunes in individual files. 

    Heavy Tow: A tune designed for heavy towing use. Our goal with this tune is to give you as much extra power and torque as we can offer while keeping the powertrain safe for towing at max capacity.  We calibrate around sustained EGT and torque converter clutch capacity.

    3. Street: A tune designed for daily driving, and great mileage. Our goal with this tune is to give you a tune that's fun drive unloaded every day.  Improved throttle response, good low-end feel, and crisp shifts.  We balance fun and mileage with long-term driveline and emissions system reliability. 
    4. Race Tune:  A significant bump in power and torque.  It feels like a totally different truck at this time.  We're talking about a truck that's a lot of fun to drive and a surprise for most anything you'll see at a stoplight.  We recommend not exceeding this power level for long-term health on an un-modified transmission or stock clutch (manual trans).  See our King level tuning if you're prepared for 500+HP and a few transmission parts.

    The 6.7L Ford in its factory trim represents a significant improvement in technology over the previous generations of the Powerstroke.  Coupled with the 6R140 transmission, this powertrain a lot of offer in reliability, driveability, and performance.  Over the past several months, we at CPS have worked with our customers and in-house on our own test trucks to develop and test tuning for this platform. After hundreds of revisions, we're happy to announce we have a product that significantly outperforms the factory 6.7L/6R140 calibration in power, driveability while maintaining factory operation and service intervals of the emissions control system.


    Rated from the factory at 400HP, these trucks give up a little bit from the get-go to the later 2015 and up models.  On the bright side, their low inertia dual compressor turbocharger does show up to the fight early.  This model range represents one of the quickest spooling 3/4 ton trucks we've ever tuned.  They respond very well to throttle input and make great power down low.  They also control smoke well with lug without polluting the emissions systems due to the great transient response from the turbo.  On the dyno, we're able to push these models to about 480rwhp at full tilt.  With the long shaft design of the twin compressor turbo design, we're very careful about how far we lean on the turbo so that we do not push the unit into over-speed while keeping an eye on our A/F ratio to keep regen frequency within spec.  Compare this 480rwhp number to 475 that was put down with the competitors' full-race delete 200+ HP tune and it becomes clear pretty quickly that the emissions system is not a restriction to power.    


    Rated at 440HP and higher on the 17+, these are the more sought after and higher performing trucks.  The turbocharger design was simplified to a single compressor unit that uses many of the same parts as its Duramax cousin. The CP4.2 high-pressure pump was given a shot in the arm with an additional 10% capacity to match the uprated factory number.  We've comfortably pushed these trucks up nearly 200 HP over their stock configuration.  With nearly 600HP to the tires, they're a treat to drive.  Also noteworthy on the late model 6.7L is the emission system tends to go much further between regens (350-500 miles).  While regen frequency is less, the time to complete the burn-off is extended.  

    6R140 Transmission Tuning: 

     These power gains alone are impressive to drive, but what really ties the whole package together is how well with works with a tuned 6R140.  The wider torque curve coupled with a quicker torque converter lockup schedule means that you'll feel the engine transfer its newfound torque efficiently to the tires starting at the top of the second gear.  On top of the lockup schedule, we've also gone through and adjusted the shift torque management alongside the shift pressure to improve the transmissions' ability to shift positively with its newfound torque.  Our goal in the trans calibration is to provide the smoothest power transfer possible balance with the most efficient use of the engine's power band.  It's gentle when you're taking it easy and means business when you're on the throttle.  Our 6R140 tuning is always active once the tune is loaded.  T/H and turbine braking function are retained similarly to factory function. 

    Description of the tunes relative to their position on the rotary switch:  All tunes can be switched between on the fly without stopping or turning off the vehicle.  All dyno numbers are actual measurements at the rear tire as measured in-house at CPS on our MD500 Mustang dyno.  

    1: Optimized Stock (+25rwhp)

    This tune offers some refinement of the timing, boost, and torque limiting tables, with a small bump in overall power.  Great for loaning the truck out or towing at or above the GVWR of the vehicle.  


    2: Heavy Tow (+45 HP - 80 ft/lbs)

    The Heavy tow tune is designed to offer the driver as much extra power and torque as can be safely used when towing up the GVWR of the truck.  EGT control on long sustained pulls as well as the ability of the truck's cooling system is taken into account.  There's an emphasis on reliability under heavy use with this tune. (EGT Gauge always recommended for towing, do not exceed 1350 degrees F under sustained load.) 


    3: Light Tow (+75 HP -  110 ft/lbs)

    The light tow tune is offered additional power over the heavy tow tune for when the truck is being used to haul medium and light loads.  We usually draw the line around 8K pounds in tow.  Because you're not near the GVWR, you're in less danger of stressing the cooling system and powertrain, therefore we allow for higher torque and horsepower output. (EGT Gauge always recommended for towing, do not exceed 1350 degrees F under sustained load.) 


    4: Sport Economy (2015-2018: +135 HP - 325 ft/lbs) (2013-2014: +100 HP - 300 ft/lbs)

    Now we're having fun!  When running unloaded it's okay to kick things up a bit.  These higher power tunes will allow the truck to hold a gear longer, improve the driving experience, and generally make you happy to look for any excuse to drive your truck.  It's important to emphasize that tune 4 and 5 should only be used on well-maintained trucks running unloaded (not towing!). 


    5: Race (2015-2018: +180 HP - 400ft/lbs) (2013-2014: +140 HP - 350 ft/lbs)

    Not every day, but when you need it you need it.  It's pretty amazing to see what a difference a tune can make.  With nearly 600 to the rear tires on the 2015+ trucks and 480rwhp on the 2011-2014 trucks, they become tire-shredding monsters.  We've benchmarked these power levels against similarly modified deleted trucks running the highest output race tune files from our competitors and none were able to out power us.  All of this fun in a smokeless, quiet, stealth machine that you can use for work or play.
