The OEM designed the 10 speed Allison pressure schedule to be on the edge of slip during most operating circumstances, it's prone to slipping clutches and degrading as hard miles stack up. This shift kit adds much-appreciated clutch holding capacity by dramatically increasing fluid pressure on the clutches and during the shifts. The result is much firmer shifts under heavy throttle inputs and less chance of slipping the transmission while using power adders. This kit gives you quick and clean shifts that go perfectly with a tuned L5P, it also will work fine on a stock truck.
