The 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023, 2500 and 3500 HD Silverado/Sierra's equipped with the 10-Speed Allison transmission are known for their great performance while towing. While this transmission is in many ways an improved version of the 6-speed Allison. There is still a bit to be desired when it comes to shifting in high performance senarios. With custom TCM tuning we can decrease the time between shifts as well as improve the clutch holding capacity by increasing line pressure electronically. This will not only make a more durable, better feeling, and better driving transmission. It can also help keep the engine in the ideal RMP range to utilize all of its potential power.
The Pre-Tuned TCM Replacement is designed for users that already own an HP Tuners MPVI2, MPVI3, or RTD+ Flash tool. The flash tool is still required for transferring trim files to the pre-tuned TCM. 10-Speed transmission tuning can also be utilized with and without the RatioTek shift kit installed on the vehicle. Allison 10-Speed Transmission Tuning
The 10-Speed Allison found in your 2020-2023 L5P Duramax is known for its smooth shifts and great performance while towing. However, it still leaves a bit to be desired when it comes to shifiting in high performance senarios. It can fall behind due to its drawn-out shifts and its weaker clutch holding strength. Changing the factory calibration is especially important when you modify your truck and/or install ECM Tuning. Custom TCM Tuning gives you quicker shift changes, smoother operation, and an overall better driving experience.
