The 2024, 2025, and 2026, 2500 and 3500 HD Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra equipped with the L5P Duramax and 10-Speed Allison 10L1000 transmission are known for their smooth shifts and outstanding performance while towing. However, it leaves something to be desired when it comes to shifting in high performance applications. It can fall behind due to its drawn-out shifts and weaker clutch holding strength.
