2018-2024 6.7L Cummins Security Gateway Module Unlock / Bypass Cable
- Required for performance ECM flash tuning on newer model Ram trucks
Description
The 2018-2024 CME / CMF Cummins Bypass Cable, also known as the Security Gateway Module bypass cable is used to bypass the anti-tuning security found in the 2018-2024 Cummins PCM. You will need this cable if you are using EFILive to tune your 2018-2024 6.7L Cummins Diesel powered Ram 2500 or 3500 truck. The bypass cable will replace the two can wires in the factory OBD-II connector (the factory ones will need to be de-pinned) and the bypass cable will be plugged into a large white connector just above the OBD2 in any of the available slots. This can remain permanently in the truck and does not need to be removed after flashing. The OBDII will retain all normal functionality. The bypass just disallows the Security Gateway Module to filter out the flashing stuff we need to send to the ECM.
You will need this cable - On the 2018's to flash a CSP5 tune for EFILive®, for EZ LYNK for changing tire size or adding a remote start and for MM3 if your security module fails. Or, just in general to bypass the security gateway module. This cable is meant to be installed and left in the vehicle. It is NOT intended to be uninstalled and re-used on other vehicles. Once installed, the OBDII will still function normally. Also, depending upon the platform, you must leave it installed in order to use a CSP5 switch.
This bypass cable can also be used when using a Snap-on or other OBDII scanner or adding AMP Steps.
