Tune your 2024-2025 Silverado/Sierra 2500/3500 with the 6.6L L5P Duramax (E42 ECM) now using HP Tuners’ VCM Suite! This service is required to upgrade the E42 ECM in these diesel trucks for tuning using an MPVI3 or MPVI4 device and VCM Suite.

Note: Spare ECMs will NOT BE ACCEPTED, no exceptions. Only the original ECM from your vehicle is acceptable for this service.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you own a 2017-2023 Silverado/Sierra 2500/3500 6.6L L5P Duramax, you require the GM E41 ECM Service (L5P) instead. This service is only for 2024-2025 models (the latest generation L5P) with the E42 ECM.

In order to start tuning, your truck requires this one-time, send-in upgrade service to upgrade the E42 ECM for custom tuning using our VCM Suite software. Spare ECMs will NOT BE ACCEPTED, no exceptions. Only the original ECM from your vehicle is acceptable for this service.

This means your E42 ECM must be removed from your truck and shipped to HP Tuners’ headquarters for servicing. This process takes up to 7 business days to complete (not including shipping).

Download the latest version of VCM Suite BETA for free here.

Once upgraded, purchase (8) Universal Credits to license your upgraded ECM.

Make sure you have an MPVI3 or MPVI4 interface.

Purchase a new MPVI4.
