Cummins 5.9L 3rd Gen Stealth 67G2 Turbo (2004.5-2007 Electronic Wastegate )

3rd Gen Stealth 64 (351 cw 2004.5-2007)

The 3rd Gen Stealth 64 is an upgraded, drop-in, replacement turbo for 2004.5-2007, 5.9L Cummins.  It is designed to bolt in and requires nothing other than removing the factory turbo and dropping this one in its place.  The turbo features a custom profile, 64mm (actual measurement 63.5mm) billet wheel perfectly mapped to a modified compressor cover and 14% larger, 10-blade turbine inside the HE351's 9cm housing.

The 3rd Gen Stealth 64 is one of the quickest spooling turbos we have tested for the 5.9L Cummins.  Even the most experienced enthusiast has a hard time telling the difference between a stock HE341/HE351 and a Stealth 64 during light throttle, daily driving.  This is directly tied to the tight exhaust housing and lightweight turbine wheel.  If you are going to daily drive your Cummins, consider a quick spool-up a "must-have".

Do You Need A New Electronic Waste Gate Actuator Solenoid?

Before you purchase a new turbo it's important to make sure your electronic wastegate actuator solenoid is in proper working condition. Here is how to test your stock electronic wastegate actuator solenoid along with a few signs that your solenoid may need replacing.

He351cw Electronic Waste Gate Actuator Solenoid Test:

    1. Unplug the electrical connection from the wastegate actuator solenoid.
    2. Apply a 12v charge to one of the prongs protruding from the waste gate actuator solenoid connector and apply a ground to the other. (You should hear a click when voltage is applied)
    3. If you have a boost gauge in the truck you can also reference it to make sure you are reaching proper boost levels. (30psi Max)

Signs that you need a new Electronic waste gate actuator solenoid:

    1. Your actuator solenoid does not click when voltage is applied
    2. You are failing to reach or exceeding 30psi of boost pressure under sustained load
    3. Your actuator solenoid is stuck in your HE351cw compressor cover
    4. Your wires are starting to crack or are exposed
    5. You just want peace of mind that everything is working correctly

Add on a Stealth Boost Tester.

Boost leaks can kill diesel engines. They cause higher EGTs, decrease your power, and lower fuel economy. Properly being able to test your entire charged air system is essential to getting peak performance and longevity out of your diesel engine. Charged air systems include everywhere from the turbocharger to the intake manifold. Your intercooler system, Exhaust Gas Recirculation components, and even the Turbocharger compressor cover can all develop boost leaks. This boost tester is exactly what you need if you work on diesel trucks regularly or just want to check the condition of your engine's charge system. Here's what you can get:

    • Heavy Duty Regulator
      • Extremely Accurate
      • Testes Entire Charge system
