Calibration and Tuning Technician
Position Summary
The position provides tuning support for Duramax, Cummins, Ford and other common rail platforms adopted under Calibrated Power Solutions. The primary function of this role will be to create performance calibrations for supported vehicles. The job will interface directly with the Sales and Shipping teams to ensure orders are filled quickly and accurately. Additionally, this job has the potential to work closely with research and development.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Receive customer requirements, run scripts, populate tune file, calibrations, and handle format conversion while ensuring quality for optimum customer satisfaction
- Create calibration scripts used for calibration production
- Handle all communication aspects of the tune with sales from order inception to completion
- Interface with Shipping to ensure timely order delivery
- Perform tuning for in house appointments including dynamometer appointments
- Work with research and development to develop calibrations for various platforms
- Collaborate with management and develop calibration training for production and sales staff
- Utilize math and analytical skills to enhance product line
Qualifications
- 3 years writing scripts, compiling tune data, and formatting conversion
- Superior knowledge of trucks and cars specifically in the diesel arena
- Advanced computer literacy
- Proven math and analytical skills
